The Domaine de Joreau is one of the secret places in the Loire valley - once the servants’ quarters of the château it is in a deep, secluded valley in the middle of the regional nature reserve "Loire - Anjou - Touraine". Come and discover this beautiful region between Angers und Saumur, known for its Douceur Angevine (a very mild and pleasant climate, that has influenced the lifestyle and the hospitality of its inhabitants). Experience the special ambiance of the Anjou, based on the three rivers Loire, Layon and Aubance, the colours of the lime stone, the slate and the terracotta tiles as well as its variety of wines and roses.

These are only a some of the reasons why this part of the Loire has been classified by the UNESCO as world heritage since year 2000.

If you look for a personalized service, combined with good comfort in an extraordinary environment, you will be delighted by our offer. In the ancient washhouse of the château of Joreau, which is today exclusively reserved for our b&b guests you dispose, in addition to your spacious room (>25 m²), of a huge lounge with English, French and German library, a hall full of tourist information as well as a private entry and garden. Both guest rooms are under the high exposed roof beams, discreetly furnished with good antiques, with impeccable private shower rooms and loos.

After a night of deep sleep in the middle of nature enjoy a good breakfast with homemade yams and other delicacies, served in the lounge with view over the park. In the afternoon, after a long day of visits, hiking or cycling take advantage of the relaxing environment of Joreau: take your time to read a book, to taste some fruits from the orchard or to have a nap in the hammock under an old tree.

Later on you can either dine out in one of the delightful restaurants nearby or stay at Joreau. We propose a gourmet-plate with wine and coffee by prior arrangement served in the lounge.

As a consequence of our passion for wine we have named our two guest rooms after two well known appellation of the Anjou: "Crémant de Loire" (sparkling Loire wine) and "Saumur-Champigny" (dry, fruity red wine).
